Prayer and Communion
We pray with the soldiers, hold pastoral conversations and administer Communion.
Area 02
Being there through treatment and recovery
01 · About the area
Hospital ministry is an inseparable part of our chaplaincy mission. We believe that after being wounded a soldier needs not only professional medical care, but also spiritual support, attention and human presence.
It is in hospital that many soldiers are left alone with their thoughts for the first time. Their comrades keep carrying out combat missions, their families are often far away, and ahead lie long treatment, uncertainty and a fight for recovery. This is the moment when a person can lose hope, which is why the presence of a chaplain matters so much.
02 · Where we serve
Our hospital chaplaincy teams visit soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation every week. When needed, we also visit other medical and rehabilitation facilities.
03 · What we do
We pray with the soldiers, hold pastoral conversations and administer Communion.
We support the relatives of the wounded and accompany the family through treatment and recovery.
Visits at the request of commanders, comrades or families — on the basis of the memorandum with the 30th Marine Corps.
We believe that the road to recovery begins not only with healing the body, but also with restoring hope. That is why our hospital ministry is above all a constant presence beside those who need it most today.
